Day 5 of no coffee and still doing great! I may never go back! Just kidding, I’m going straight back to it on Monday. Of course, the first set of matches start at 8:30, and I’m going to have to bring my son to school by 9 so I’m going to miss a crucial few minutes of it, but I’m banking on my Russians surviving the behemoths of Dynasty and Heat today. Of course, if Aftershock wins World Cup I would be so proud to see such a historically awesome team kill it.

Paintball Intel: Watching the World Cup! I only saw the first couple sets live, and what a first day! Houston Heat is rolling like a freight train, and Impact trips over the Ironmen! Kyle Spicka throws a “grenade”, Yaya Bouchez kills everyone from PC Katana by essentially being behind ALL OF THEM. Wow!
Paintball Rant: This year is the biggest World Cup on record! Congratulations to the NXL! What is fascinating about the Pro Field setup is the fact that no one can seem to handle the paradigm shift of bodies being able to “ghost” off the field to the pits because of the pits being stationed on the “endzones”. This dynamic has slowed the game down for sure, but I love the added element. The flags inside the net of all the teams, and all the winners from the past events is a nice touch too. I hope there are flags up of all the different countries being represented at Cup. Hell, they should hang them up inside the net to show off who’s showing up. The more international, the better!
